This week we have Reverend Kirstin Boswell-Ford preach to us. She uses as the bases of her sermon the text of Joshua 24:1,14-24. Just as Joshua asks the tribes of Israel she asks us, to choose for ourselves this day whom we will serve. Are we ready to make that commitment or reaffirm our commitment to our Lord?

This week Reverend Brown teaches from the text of Exodus 19:1-6,24:3-8. Rev Brown asks the question "Who were we before all this happened to us". Reverend Brown reminds us to reflect on where we came from and not always accept what we are today. Just as the slaves of Egypt needed to be reminded of where they came from, often today we and our young people have forgotten where we have come from. It's time to look back at where we have come from and decide where we are to take ourselfs in the future.

This week Rev. Brown teaches from the text of Genesis 17:1-8,15-22. In this text we see Abraham as he hears of Gods plan for him. Believing himself to be too old for Gods challenge Abraham doubts Gods word and tries to have God accpet his son Ishmael for the work ahead. But God wants Abraham and his wife Sarai for this work. God won't accept Ishmael as the subsitute. And, so Rev Brown this week reminds us not to accept any subsitutes either.

This week we have Rev. Dr. Mayme George preaching, along with a special musical solo from Delois Daniels. Rev. George shows us again how the only constant in life is change. Whether it is the changes we create or the changes which are created for us. By keeping the teachings of Jesus close to our hearts we can have both the strength and flexibility to cope with the changes in our lives. .
